Our Story

Co-Founders, Melissa DiMinico and Shauna Semenza, realized their product was unique when the Candy Dish began in 2015. After a short period, filling orders for private events, these women shifted the trajectory by committing to the Candy Dish full time.  Both left their previous positions; Melissa was in finance and Shauna in culinary.  Owning a business has been their dream since 2015 and this duo has turned The Candy Dish into a premiere artisan candy company, claiming the praise, awards and accolades from regional culinary competitions and trade shows.  They have supplied corporate gifts to Fortune 500 companies, been represented by the Academy of Motion Pictures in their award season VIP Suites, as well as provided turn down service for local hotels.  Diversifying Candy Dish has allowed this women-owned business to grow their production and cultivate their signature product, The Chocolate Lobster!  Similar to the chocolate turtle, The Chocolate Lobster is different in shape and texture and allows more buttery caramel sandwiched between milk, dark or white chocolate to drape over cashew “claws and legs”.
